CAN HOMEOPATHY HELP WITH TINNITUS?
First of all: what is tinnitus? It is the name for hearing noises that are not caused by sounds coming from the outside world.

As usual, there is no protocol for tinnitus and often the best remedy is the constitutional remedy: the remedy that covers most of the totality of your symptoms.
Let me give you an example: one of my patients came to me about an annoying skin rash that was very itchy and possibly a sign of yeast overgrowth in the gut. It was worse for stress (work related); there was also a tendency to expect the worst in general and then he mentioned this “whooshing sound” in his ears, like a background waterfall noise. Not loud enough to stop him from hearing but annoying enough when he was trying to concentrate.
The remedy I picked for this patient was Aurum Metallicum. Aurum has the main theme of “performance”. All this patient could talk about was his job and the current challenges. When you are performance-driven, the worst thing that can happen is failure. The prospect or delusion of failure can plunge the Aurum patient into a deep depression that can become dangerous, if left untreated. Fear of failure is simiral to fear of heights, why? Because when you are at the top, the only way is down. Falling down is a metaphor for failing, which is why fear of heights is typica of Aurum patients and in extreme cases, they phantasize about suicide by jumping off a height or there are nightmares about falling from a great height to their death.
The remedy Aurum cleared the skin condition and after a few months, the tinnitus was completely gone.
